Item Description

Pyrite is VERY RARE from the famous Wessels Mine. This is a UNIQUE and colorful combination small cabinet from a small 1978 find. Fantastic, scintillating iridescent cubic pyrite microcrystals along with starkly contrasting tiny, gemmy, light pink rhodochroisite crystals cover the striking, sculptural layered hematite with pyrite matrix. Glassy, scattered calcite scalenohedrons are fine accessory. A FINE BONUS on the bottom are scattered, hematite-included calcite scalenohedrons! The largest, at 1.5 cm, is doubly terminated. RARE and impresssive combination material from the Wessels Mine.
