Item Description
Sculptural, biomorphic-looking miniature acanthite specimen from the well-known Hongda Mine of China. The intergrown, distorted pseudo-octahedral, charcoal-gray crystals form an animal with a very long neck, uplifted pointed head above the body and legs. The striking, dominating sharp neck and head crystal is 2.7 cm long and the scattered skeletal features enhance the piece. Complete all-around and an artistic floater. A fine and aesthetic acanthite from China circa 2010.
