Item Description

A cool thumbnail specimen of crystallized Acanthite from the famous Marienberg area in Germany. The crystals have good luster and sharp faces with excellent form. A very attractive piece that stands out as one of the better thumbnail we've had to offer in the auctions from Germany. This specimen came labeled as Argentite, and this happens a lot for Acanthite in general. Sometimes people think that this are pseudomorphs after Argentite, but they are technically paramorphs as Acanthite will actually become Argentite in an environment where the temperature reaches above 177 degrees Celsius.
