Item Description

Stark green color, very sharp, rather lustrous, fairly thick, prismatic crystals of Actinolite measuring up to 5.1 cm can be seen on all sides of this attractive small cabinet display specimen. No specific locality is given outside of the Stubach valley (Stubachtal) on the label, and frankly, this is the ONLY specimen of Actinolite that I've seen from the area. A great locality specimen for anybody who collects Alpine minerals or Amphiboles. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#11827). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
