Item Description

The best Adamites from the world-famous Ojuela Mine are the finest examples of the species ever found. The classic radial groups with their vibrant colors are recognized around the world for their superior quality. This cabinet sized display specimen features many highly lustrous (vitreous) semi-radial and "fan"-like groups of Adamite measuring up to 2.7 cm sitting upon contrasting Limonite matrix. The color of the Adamites is a lovely greenish-yellow hue, iconic for the species from Ojuela. I can't see any real damage on the display side of the specimen, the only imperfections are on the back where it was removed from the pocket wall. I love the composition, balance and overall visual appeal of the piece with the largest Adamite "pinwheel" sitting perfectly atop the specimen. Any worldwide mineral collection should have a fine Ojuela Adamite in it, and this piece would make a great addition to any collection. Priced in the inventory at $2,500.
