Adamite (Cuprian) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A vivid green Cuprian Adamite specimen from the historic Ojuela mine in Mexico. The color is almost great for the species and the locality, and the sparkling luster makes this piece very desirable. The piece is in good condition overall. The color is what matters here. This mine is well known for its amazingly intense colors of Adamite, and this miniature is certainly a great example of said material. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3453). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
