Item Description
The Gold Hill Mine is often considered the finest USA locality for Cuprian Adamite. Specimens are old, rare, and usually restricted to smears and coatings on rock. This freestanding "ball" of crystals is a stunning miniature, important for the locality. This miniature well-represents the species, with its granular, gemmy-to-translucent crystals forming a sparkly, 2 cm hemisphere on the gossan matrix. This is a rare locality piece, and the vibrant mint color, good luster, and typically outstanding fluoresence make it an excellent and attractive specimen. Formerly in the extensive collection of W & A Cook. Valued $1000-1500
