Item Description

The Ojuela mine is known for many great mineral species. Adamites are one of the classics that are usually seen as radiating balls or fans. However, this specimen consists of sharp individual Adamite crystals, up to 8 mm, with the typical greenish-yellow color and glassy luster. They are nestled in the vugs of a Limonite matrix with associated clear scalenohedral crystals of Calcite. The piece is in near-pristine condition. A high quality representative example of the classic Adamite material that is known throughout the mineral world. Classic neon green Fluorescence is a bonus! Ex. Kurt Hefendehl Collection.
