Item Description

A wonderful Adamite specimen from the world famous Ojuela Mine in Mexico. A predominant 2.2 cm semi-radial group of prismatic, translucent / gemmy Adamite crystals along with additional smaller Adamites are sprinkled all over the gossan matrix. Now the majority of the Adamite crystals are a greenish-yellow color, but there are areas of a gorgeous purple (manganoan) hue on the tips, which just pushes the rarity level up another notch. Some of the tiny Adamites on the piece are perfect textbook WATER CLEAR prisms, but you need a loupe to see them with good detail. No damage that I can see with the naked eye and it's just as attractive in person as it is in the photos. A must have for any collector of Mexican minerals, secondary ore minerals, worldwide Adamites or specifically minerals from the Ojuela Mine. This is a fantastic specimen of this classic material from this world-famous locale. Much harder to find on the market today compared to years ago. Priced at $2,000 in the inventory.
