Item Description

A very attractive, sharp, gemmy, well-formed, rather lustrous, colorless twinned crystal of "Adularia" (a variety of K-Feldspar) with beautiful crystal faces. The piece has a blend of incredibly smooth and striated faces with a very well defined reentrant twin line. A top notch thumbnail of this hard to find material. It's difficult to obtain such sharp, gemmy and lustrous Adularia crystals, let alone fine twins like this piece. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12918). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
