Item Description
A striking and aesthetic cluster of lustrous, jet-black aegirine crystals, resting on and intermixed with sculptural, blocky Feldspar crystals and Smoky Quartz crystals. The dramatic, upright aegirine is 1.7 cm long and has great form and superb luster. The largest Smoky is 2.3 cm tall, gemmy, and lustrous, while the white Feldpars average about .7 cm in size and they have excellent luster. Several of the Feldspars are speared by slender aegirines. The artistic composition of this combination specimen is very fine. The major upright crystals in the frontal view are all pristine. Quite representative of the species and locality. A small piece compared to some from here, yes; but a terrific miniature overall.
