Item Description

A rich, pleasing patch of powder-blue ajoite is very well placed in the corner of a glassy, doubly terminated, floater quartz crystal. The pretty ajoite color really stands out in the translucence of the quartz crystal. The lightly frosted quartz is complete all-around and pristine, with no damage on the contacted back. This is an aesthetic and very uncommon doubly terminated floater ajoite from a recent find at the famous Messina Mine of South Africa. Impressive, highly representive material of this ultra-rare copper silicate, named after its discovery locality, the New Cornelia Mine, Ajo, Arizona.
