Item Description

A very hard to find specimen of what was once called "Antemontite I" (as opposed to Antemontite II or III) which is now defined as an antimony-rich variety of Stibarsen. A layer of iron-gray colored Stibarsen with a somewhat spherical texture can be seen coating the underlying matrix, which probably contains a bit of Pyrargyrite and/or Proustite. The light greenish mineral is Symplesite. This is the only piece of this material that we have to offer and comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value. You can read Joe's biography here: http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1371 Do not miss out on this one if you collect rare minerals or anitmony minerals.
