Item Description

Alstonite, a rare Ba-Ca carbonate, is a rare and desirable accessory species from this famous mine. Snow-white, coral-like crusts of tiny pyramidal crystals richly cover both sides of the straw-yellow witherite (Ba-carbonate) matrix. The witherite fluoresces white. Classic, rich and older material from the Tom Campbell and George Feist Collections. Valued at $600-750
