Item Description
Altaite is uncommon lead tellurium and is typically found in hydrothermal vein gold-tellurium-bearing deposits. Iridescent blue altaite microcrystals are scattered in clusters and veinlets on all sides of the matrix on this rich and rare old-timer from the Charles Velte Collection. This fine piece is from the obscure Hilltop Mine, near the famous Stephenson-Bennett Mine. Seldom on the market. Very rich ore.
