Item Description

An imposing, 6.3 cm, doubly terminated, amazonite crystal is the highlight of this impressive and aesthetic large combination specimen from this obscure early 1980s pegmatite find. The lustrous sharp amazonites have fine bluish-green color and are complimented by the broken smoky quartz crystal sections. All of the major amazonites are pristine. This striking large piece displays well from both sides (the base is sawed) and is UNREPAIRED, which is uncommon for such large specimens. Pieces from this find are VERY RARE! The one small spot of bruising and basal periphery wear are certainly acceptable in the context of this impressive specimen. Choice material from the Bob Trimingham Collection. A must for the locality or species collector. Valued $2000
