Amber with rare Spider inclusion

A fine quality little specimen of these well-known classic Ambers from the Dominican Republic. Even though people have been collecting Amber for thousands of years, actual specimens for collectors (especially those with insect inclusions) have only been largely in the public consciousness for the better part of the last few decades years thanks to the Jurassic Park film franchise. This specimen is from the classic Sabana locality and features a very well-preserved spider (Araneae, and the label guesses the family is clubionidae) frozen inside. It's very important to note that it is incredibly difficult to obtain specimens of this material with such well-presereved spider inclusions inside like this. This material is always popular on the market, and even though its more of a fossil than a mineral, it's still a cool piece of this well known material. The piece is best viewed under magnification, and but we did photograph the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality.
