Jackson Crossroads Amethysts are not only US classics, but they are some of the finest Amethysts in the world, especially in the modern era of mineral collecting. This wonderful specimen shows a glowing, saturated purple hue at the termination and even has a slightly reddish flash in certain lighting. The color quickly grades into white / colorless at the center of piece and then shows a bit of purple at the base. The prism and pyramdial faces are all notably sharp and lustrous. Wonderful condition on the font side of the piece, and even shows a bit of crystallization on the back, though it's not complete all the way around. A really good quality example of this famous material from one of the premier Amethyst localities in the world.
