Item Description

An OLD-TIME and AESTHETIC CABINET cluster of glassy and transparent amethyst crystals with a pleasing variable purple color intensity from a CLASSIC South Carolina locality - Due West. The fat, upright crystal is 4.9 x 4.2 x 4.0 cm and some of the other crystals are doubly terminated, including the largest, at 6.8 cm. The small bed of milky quartz crsytals is a very nice accent. Some of the finest Eastern USA amethysts have come from Due West. Trivial termination edgewear to the fat crystal and to a secondary crystal are certainly not a detriment to this classic, as you can see. There are two contacts, but no damage, per se. The purple color variations are really highlighted in the photos. SELDOM available in this quality. Comes with a Larry Conklin label. ex. Feist collection
