Glassy, translucent, amethyst crystals to 3.0 cm have variable, pretty purple shading on this showy and excellent mounded specimen from an uncommon Australian locale - Corona Station. The amethyst crystals rest on a layered matix of smoky quartz crystals, and then more amethyst. The amethyst field is in great shape, with the periphery wear being only a modest detraction. Highly representative, older material from this locale. Ex Clyde Hardin Collection.
