The fabulously rich silver mines at Guanajuato, Mexico have produced some oustanding amethyst specimens and this is excellent example. It is studded with glassy, pretty, lavender-colored amethyst crystals with subtle phantoms. The few broken crystals are a modest detraction to this showy piece from the historic La Sirena Mine.
