Easily some of the most classic and recognizable Amethyst specimens around are those from Las Vigas. The best of these specimens are exemplary and highly sought by collectors. This specimen features a pair of predominant, very gemmy, glassy, very sharp, light purple color, prismatic hexagonal crystals of Amethyst with a few accessory crystals and a minor amount of wonderfully contrasting pistachio green Epidote at the base. The piece is in great shape overall, and is incredibly aesthetic as the photos show. To find good purple, gemmy crystals with Epidote is arguably the top criteria for a Las Vigas Amethyst.
