Item Description

An eye-catching and classic, radial "flower" of purple Amethyst from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. These beautiful and unique specimens have a distinct formation, very easy to recognize. This piece was actually lifted from the matrix, leaving only small amount of rock on the back side. There are hundreds of tightly intergrown crystals here, with delicate transitions of purple to white and even a light reddish color due to iron oxide inclusions. Most of the crystals are actually very well-formed with fine terminations upon close inspection. These are some of the most eye-catching and iconic Amethyst specimens in the world, and every good Quartz collection needs one, not to mention every Brazilian suite or just general worldwide minerals.
