Item Description

A remote region of Kenya has recently produced some stunning large amethyst specimens, as singles and very large clusters. This impressive cluster has glassy, sharply terminated crystals with very pretty, blush grape-purple interiors and a hint of tan clay. The terminations are in excellent shape, with only trivial edge wear (a few minor dings) and an out of sight contact on the back of the large crystal. Contacting is noted on the sides, where it grew against other crystals. The base is contacted, but is overgrowth with drusy quartz with no damage, per se. New and showy material. 1634 grams or 3.6 pounds.
