Item Description

A sculptural, impressive and aesthetic CABINET plate studded with glassy, water-clear, quartz crystals and dramatically highlighted by well-placed, beautiful amethyst crystal cluster and two, dramatic single amethyst crystals from the famous deposits at Piedra Parada (formerly Las Vigas), Mexico. The central crystal cluster is beautiful and the two discrete crystals are a striking compliment. The gemmy, highly lustrous amethyst crystals have very pleasing purple color in their terminations and reach 3.5 cm. The radiating quartz crystal sprays are a super accent. The crystals rest on a matrix covered with sparkly microcrystalline epidote. Essentially pristine, with only a very trivial periphery wear. Valued at $1000-1250 for size and excellent quality. Found in 2008. Ex Dave Stoudt Collection.
