Item Description

This specimen is a great small cabinet size piece consisting of good quality, sharp, translucent, lustrous, prismatic, purple color crystals of Amethyst measuring up to 1.1 cm. The piece is not only aesthetic and eye-catching, but the Amethyst crystals actually features a "reverse" scepter habit, which is not common for any locality in Bolivia. Additionally the Amethyst are associated with modified rhombohedra of Calcite on matrix. Please note that Calcite is a rather rare species from Bolivia, and the Calcite crystals from Bombori are the best examples of Bolivian Calcite crystals that we've seen. A good specimen of this now hard to find material.
