Item Description

A striking, CABINET, amethyst scepter from Madagascar and the Robert Whitmore Collection. The dramatic, eneven, sharp, amethyst cap rests on a stout, translucent, quartz column. Complete all-around, both the amethyst and quartz are lightly frosted. Trivial termination and edge wear are noted on the amethyst scepter, but are certainly a modest detraction. One side of the specimen is contacted, but has no damage, per se. A single spot of bruising on the quartz pedestal is out of sight from the primary display side. Some remarkable amethyst scepters has been found at this very uncommon locale, but are seldom on the market.
