Item Description

Pretty light purple, gemmy and lustrous, amethyst scepters attached to nubby quartz stalks are very aesthetically set on the sculptural large 3-dimensional quartz matrix on this very showy, excellent and uncommon in this size and quality specimen from this former small gold and silver mine. The well-placed central scepter and stalk is 2.2 cm tall. More recently fine amethyst specimens have been recovered and this is remarkable large piece. See the January-February, 1991 Mineralogical Record article on this locale. Classic Fat Jack amethyst. A MUST for the species or Arizona collector.
