Item Description

Mineral specimens, in general, are seldom on the market from this less well-known French locale, that has yielded some excellent amethyst and fluorite specimens. This showy large piece is dominated by the impresssive, pristine, sharply terminated, glassy, translucent, color-zoned, 4.5 cm amethyst crystal. The crystal rests on a striking base of broken color-zoned crystals flanking the crystal with banded amethyst below. Excellent and uncommon large amethyst from the Paul Zerfass Collection # 442.
