Item Description
Amethyst is the most well-known variety of Quartz, found in countless world localities. The famed Thunder Bay Amethysts are among the most attractive Quartz specimens from North America. The contrast of the beautiful purple Amethyst with the Hematite makes for some really eye-catching display pieces. This small cabinet specimen is filled with sharp, lustrous, gemmy/translucent, purple pyramidal Amethyst crystals with beautiful brick red spots from inclusions / coatings of Hematite. Good shape and no damage to virtually all of the crystals. but it's contacted around the periphery where it detached from the pocket wall. The largest crystal measures 1.0 cm.
