For aesthetics, association, color and contrast, this is an outstanding North Carolina amethyst. I was shocked to see this was from Iredell. The sharp, equant, amethyst has gorgeous blush purple color, water-clear side faces and lightly frosted termination faces. The quartz crystal nest on the front is a superlative accent. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only the most trivial of termination wear. A beautiful combination specimen from the George Feist Collection # 1219. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
