Item Description

Morocco is one of the great fossil-producing countries in the world today. The Ammonite fossils found near Arfoud (Erfoud) in Morocco are some of the best preserved remains of creatures that once flourished in a warm shallow sea which covered what is now the Sahara Desert. This piece is a great example of said material featuring well-preserved chambers (called phragmocone) in that classic spiral growth. A beautiful piece of these well-known fossils.
