Item Description

A very impressive, complete all-around, mounded CABINET specimen of large, lustrous, chocolate-brown, andradite garnets to 4.0 cm. The textbook, modified dodecahedral crystals have many flashes of gemmy, golden-brown fire. Very modest periphery wear is noted on this striking piece from the less well-known Sinerechenskoe skarn occurrence (Blue River), near Dal'negorsk. This hefty specimen is solid garnet. It was for many years part of the Pala Properties/Bill Larson Garnet Collection and was on display at the Fallbrook shop. 3.1 pounds or 1.4 kilos. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!
