Item Description
Sharp, highly lustrous, chocolate-brown, andradite garnets with striking flashes of golden-amber to reddish-brown gemminess are richly set in matrix on this showy and excellent old-timer. The dodecahedral crystals have modified corners and measure up to 1.5 cm. A bit of periphery wear is noted, but this is a fine representation of this classic material. Old-time material, 1950s or 60s, from the O. Ivan Lee and Mullane Collections, as it comes with a Burminco label. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
