Item Description

Arizona might be best-known for its colorful secondary ore minerals, but the Santa Teresa Mountains area produced completely different minerals, which are equally as beautiful. The famous Andradites from the Stanley Butte Area are some of the most distinctive examples of Andradite from any locality with their unique color and iconic form. This piece is a wonderful small cabinet specimen loaded with dozens of very sharp, lustrous, well-formed dodecahedral crystals measuring up to 1.0 cm across, with a unique olive green hue that has an almost metallic sheen on the surface. The front / display side of the piece is largely undamaged and has good sculptural quality, with an eye-catching "knob" of crystals protruding upwards. A showy and fine example of this classic material.
Ex Les Presmyk (De Natura) specimen.
