Andradite Garnet (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A very rarely seen example of the classic Andradite Garnets from the lesser known La Prieta Mine. This piece is filled with very sharp, well-formed, lustrous, deep reddish-black colored dodecahedra of Andradite measuring up to 3 mm to 4 mm with minor cream colored Feldspar on matrix. Many of the crystals on the display side are pristine. If you collect worldwide Garnets or minerals of Mexico, don't miss out on this hard to find old time specimen.
