Item Description
The Malenco Valley is famous for beautiful andradite garnet crystals and this is a showy and rich specimen. Gemmy and lustrous, sharp, olive-green crystals to 1.6 cm cover the top of the foliated serpentine/asbestos matrix. Bruised crystals are noted at the back of the andradite field, but this remains an excellent, highly representative example with gemmy crystals. The olive-green color richness is MUCH BETTER IN PERSON! They do not photograph well, for some reason.
