Anglesite on Galena

Item Description

A striking, sharp, 2.7 cm pyramidal Anglesite crystal is jauntily set with smaller Anglesites on a beautifully contrasting charcoal gray, granular and corroded Galena matrix admixed with abundant glistening Anglesite crystals. The big Anglesite is exceptionally glassy with an adamantine luster and is translucent to transparent, white to gray-white, dotted internally with a few tiny Galena inclusions for interest. The smaller Angesites in association have similar characteristics. The contrasting charcoal gray matrix is largely Galena admixed with reflective grains of Anglesite.
