Item Description

A rarely seen example of these attractive pseudomorphs from the famed Broken Hill Mine. This showy and aesthetic miniature display specimen features a somewhat reticulated group of rather thick, lustrous, prismatic crystals of Cerussite that have been pseudomorphed into Anglesite, free of matrix. The largest composite crystal measures 4.8 cm long. A very fine, old-time showy specimen from Broken Hill's major era of mining, probably the early 1900s. Pieces such as this were found in the old, upper oxidized zone of this world famous mine.
