Apophyllite with Stilbite (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

Sharp, blocky, white to colorless gemmy crystals of Apophyllite associated with tan colored, translucent Stilbite from an unknown localityin Brazil (the label states it's from Goias, but I can't find a listing for these specimens coming from any locality in that state). It's a showy specimen with great aesthetics, though it's not complete all the way around, as the back is contacted. People consider this kind of material to be common due to the number of specimens found in large quantities from India, but the Brazilian material is rare. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1754). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
