Item Description

Beryl has been popular for a long time among dealers and collectors because it's found in a wide range of colors and often good sized stones. The interesting thing is that all of these shades of Beryl have been given their own varietal names (Emerald, Aquamarine, Heliodor, Morganite, etc.). Aquamarine might be the most widespread stone around the world, found in many localities in fine quality examples. They are certainly among the most popular Beryls on the market. Here we have a beautiful Aquamarine that was cut from a piece of rough found in Brazil in the 1990s. It has a fantastic "icy blue" tone which combined with nearly eye clean clarity makes it all the more alluring. The stone has a traditional "Oval Brilliant" cut, and looks beautiful face up.
