Item Description

This specimen dates back to the early 1990s. It's a great quality, fairly thick strong blue colored crystal of Aquamarine featuring sharp, smooth, broad hexagonal crystal faces on the front, and a beautiful etching pattern on the back. If you backlight the crystal you will see it's incredibly gemmy inside, almost WATER CLEAR in the upper portion of the termination. I can see one contact near the termination, but the rest is not actually damage, but unique formations created from the solution that etched the crystal while in the pocket. There are a few indentations where I assume another crystal once grew. The piece has a graceful and almost ethereal feel that gives it character and a gentle beauty rarely seen in most crystals. Minor black Schorl along with a bit of white Albite can be seen on the piece as well. Fine quality, great color and fairly hefty weighing in at 119.15 grams (595.75 carats). Priced at $2,500 in our inventory.
