Item Description

These are really interesting specimens from a 2004 discovery. For me this is odd and cool for Beryl as a species, as one rarely sees bi-colored crystals like this from any locality. What makes them even more special is the fact that one of the colors is actually WHITE. This attractive small cabinet display specimen plays host to several fine, sharp, lustrous, GEMMY to translucent prismatic hexagonal crystals of Beryl which show a soft blue (Aquamarine) color on terminations and a white / colorless tone in the rest of the crystals. The matrix is composed of white Albite, and accenting black 'needles' of Schorl Tourmaline make for a great touch. The largest crystal measures 4.0 cm long, and several of the crystals are doubly-terminated! There are a few spots of damage, but there are also a couple areas where they crystals appear to be broken, but they are truly crystallized (most likely they were broken at one point and healed / 're-healed'). A very eye-catching and unusual / unique Beryl from the same locality that produced the well-known Aquamarine/Morganite bi-color crystals dating back several years. If you collect gem crystals or pegmatite specimens or if you're just a fan of Beryls or Pakistani minerals, this one would make a great addition to any collection. Priced at $850 in the inventory.
