Aquamarine (multi-terminated / doubly-terminated crystals) with Muscovite

When it comes to Aquamarine, some of the finest, world-class specimens have been found in the various pegmatite localities in Pakistan, which has been the most productive country for specimens in the last 30+ years. Most people associate Pakistani Aquas with the Shigar Valley, but nearby in Nagar, some really gorgeous pieces have been found for many years. This attractive and showy full cabinet piece features a large, predominant, stout, sharp, glassy, gemmy, soft blue color, hexagonal prismatic crystal of Aquamarine which is associated with additional smaller Aquas and beautiful bladed groups of silvery Muscovite. The main crystal measures 6.8 x 6.6 cm at its two longest dimensions. One end has a classic basal termination but the other end is filled with many additional terminations, making it a multi-terminated / doubly-terminated crystal. No major damage anywhere outside of the back of the piece, where it detached from the pocket wall. A few small saw marks are visible on the base of the specimen, but they cannot be seen when the piece is displayed. I also found few a tiny pale pink Fluorite crystals on the back as well. A superb quality, showy cabinet sized display specimen of this classic material from Chumar Bakhoor. Specimen weight is 762 grams. Priced in the inventory at $3,500.
