Item Description

When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the last 20 years. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Paki Himalayas, including the pieces from the famous Nagar region. This locality has produced some of the most exciting Aquamarine specimens in recent years. This piece features sharp, lustrous, translucent, soft blue color, hexagonal prismatic crystals of Aquamarine measuring up to 2.6 cm associated / surrounded by silvery bladed Muscovite. A very attractive gem crystal specimen with good quality from this famous Pakistani pegmatite locality. Despite the "rough" appearance to the Aqua crystals, they are genuinely crystallized nearly all the way around. Most of the crystals obviously re-crystallized after some kind of tectonic activity or possilby etching solution came into the pocket. It was DIFFICULT to photograph, but it looks nice in person. Enjoy.
