Aquamarine & Quartz on Albite (RARE) Kay Robertson Coll.

Item Description

Mineral specimens are uncommon from the pegmatites of this obscure Mongolia massif and aquamarine specimens are EXTREMELY RARE. This very cute mounded miniature is highlighted by a well-placed, 1.4 cm, gem, pretty light blue, hexagonal aqua, three clustered terminated quartz crystals, one broken quartz crystal and scattered muscovite plates on the albite crystal matrix. RARE and aesthetic combination material from the Kay Robertson Collection # 12623. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
