Item Description

From a recent find in China - a large, dramatic stalactitic burst of aragonite, with an unusually beautiful powder-blue color from copper content! This entire specimen is actually translucent, if you put a light behind it. Looks almost like some exotic sea coral (and not all that different chemically, if you come right down to it). This impressive piece has multiple forms: blooms of sharp, nubby, trigonal crystals on the left; cauliflower head-like clusters in the middle to upper right; botryoids to knobs on the lower right; and a nifty, small spray of tapered spikes tucked into a cleft in the center. Exotic and beautiful.
