Item Description

Tsumeb is arguably the most significant locality in the history of mineral collecting, and truly has produced some of the most impressive mineral specimens extant. The overall aesthetics of this piece along with the fact that it is one of the only pieces of its kind that I've seen would make it a very cool and worthwhile piece to add to a carbonate suite, a Tsumeb collection or just an "oddities" collection. It's an attractive "spray" of semi golden-green color, translucent Aragonite with minor attached matrix on the both of the front and back of the piece. Tsumeb minerals seem to increase in value daily, and specimens from this amazing mine are among the most desirable for collectors, as less and less are seen on the market today. From the collection of John Arnaud, who obtained it from Ed Rosenzweig, who obtained it from Rob Lavinsky originally.
