Aragonite (ex Kay Robertson and Collection)

Item Description

This piece came labeled as coming from "Wolkenstein" in Saxony, Aragonite has not been reported from this locality. Perhaps it's referring to the Wolkenhugel Mine in Lower Saxony, Germany where Aragonite has been reported. This piece features attractive white radiating aggregates in a partial opened vug. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3694). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
