Item Description
Nicholsonite is the very rare zinc-rich variety of aragonite. Found at only three localities worldwide, the very best easily come from Tsumeb and are seldom available. Sparkly snow-white dolomite rhombs cover the very sculptural cluster of nicholsonite crystals. The impressive doubly terminated crystal is 5.8 cm. This very rare and exceptional combination is very nearly pristine with only barely noticeable edge wear to the large crystal. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and acquired from the Milani Collection in Bologna in 1980. Value?? A must for the species or Tsumeb collector.
